Job Summary
As a BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) Engineer you will work as part of a Research and Development team responsible for developing, testing, and debugging Firmware and embedded system software that interface with Linux/Windows Operating System.
Level: Mid-Senior Level
Salary range: $100K/yr – $170K/yr
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and development of server BMC, including but not limited to: BMC kernel configuration, porting, hardware adaptation, sensor monitoring, IPMI/Redfish protocol development, multi-protocol development (SPI, SMBus, PMBus, MCTP, PLDM, etc.), thermal management implementation, and firmware update function
- Provide BMC with Aivres design function and cooperate with other units to develop
- Modify and customize BMC according to customers’ requirements, communicate with customers about requirements details, respond to and solve customers’ problems
- Perform BMC test tasks
Qualifications
- Degree in computer science or related discipline, at least 7 years of relevant working experience
- Familiarity with Intel/AMD platform adaptation development
- Familiarity with Aspeed BMC chip management function development, IPMI /Redfish standard operation principle
- Familiarity with C/C++, embedded Linux development
- English and Mandarin fluency highly preferred
- Experience in server development preferred
