This Back to School Season, Aivres Builds Backpacks for Bay Area Students in Need
As a part of Aivres’ ongoing corporate social responsibility and community engagement initiatives, we joined forces with the Kids In Need Foundation, a remarkable non-profit committed to equipping underserved students with the supplies they need to succeed, to host a backpack build event at our Milpitas office to bridge the gap and ensure that every child has the tools they need to reach their potential.
Why We Chose KINF
As a technology company rooted in the Bay Area, we at Aivres are acutely aware of the challenges many families in our community face. The soaring cost of living has turned basic necessities into a struggle, with an income of $96,000 now classified as low income in Santa Clara County. This financial strain makes it difficult for families to provide essential supplies for their children, placing a significant burden on students’ educational journeys.
This year, KINF surveyed over 11,500 teachers across America’s under-resourced schools and found that 63% of students in these schools arrived without the requested and necessary supplies. We believe innovation transcends the development of cutting-edge products; it’s about nurturing the next generation of thinkers and creators. Every student, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Partnering with the Kids In Need Foundation enables us to make a tangible difference by supplying essential resources as well as fostering direct connections with local schools, ensuring that our contributions reach those who need them most.
Building Backpacks At Aivres
Aivres employees came together last week to fill backpacks with essential classroom supplies for K-5 students, including notebooks, folders, pencils, erasers, scissors, and more. These backpacks will be distributed directly to local low-income public school students. This event provided our team with a meaningful opportunity to give back while also serving as an educational experience. Together, we gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by underperforming schools and the support they require.
This backpack build is just one of many employee-driven social responsibility initiatives that reflect Aivres’ broader commitment to positively impact our community. We take pride in engaging in diverse projects that truly make a difference in the lives of those around us.
